At Artemis, we believe beautiful weddings shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense. We’re committed to weaving sustainability into everything we do, from our head office to every venue we manage.

Our Purpose

We create unforgettable wedding experiences in unique venues while preserving natural beauty, supporting local communities, and reducing our environmental impact. We’re on a journey to embed sustainability into how we operate, grow, and innovate.

Shared Responsibility

Sustainability is everyone’s responsibility. Every team member at Artemis plays a part in helping us achieve our goals, from everyday decisions to big-picture planning. We encourage everyone to contribute ideas, challenge norms, and help drive positive change. Our journey is collaborative, and your voice matters.

Our Commitments

We’ve identified nine core priorities to guide our sustainability journey:

1. SUSTAINABLE TRAVEL

We support low-carbon travel options for staff, suppliers, and guests.

• EV chargers have been installed at Artemis-owned venues
• Working with partner venues to support future EV installations
• Cycle-to-work scheme in place
• Gradually transitioning our fleet to electric vehicles

Future: Launch a Sustainable Travel Policy and promote public transport and car-sharing

2. RECYCLING & WASTE MANAGEMENT

We’re cutting down on waste by reusing more and sending less to landfill.

• Head Office recycling systems in place
• Regular litter picks and community clean-ups

Future: Introduce waste audits, reuse initiatives, and a formal Waste Management Policy

3. PAPERLESS BY DESIGN

We’re cutting out unnecessary paper use and switching to digital tools.

• Printed brochures phased out
• Hand dryers installed to reduce paper towel waste
• Digital systems used for onboarding, recruitment, and document sharing

Future: Expand digital training and streamline workflows

4. ENERGY CONSERVATION

We’re making practical changes to reduce energy use across our sites.

• Energy-efficient lighting installed at Head Office
• Heating systems reviewed for sustainability

Future: Carry out energy audits and introduce smart-energy checklists

5. COMMUNITY & ETHICAL BUSINESS

We support local suppliers, charities, and community initiatives.

• Regular donations to food banks and charities
• Collaborations with local businesses

Future: Offer venue spaces to community groups and build long-term partnerships

6. RESPONSIBLE SUPPLY CHAIN

We’re building partnerships with suppliers who share our values.

• Working with sustainable procurement platforms

7. REUSING TO REDUCE WASTE

We focus on reuse before recycling, wherever possible.
