Artemis Collection Leads with Life-Saving Allergy Kits

The UK’s leading wedding and event venue operators, Artemis, have partnered with Kitt Medical and installed emergency anaphylaxis kits across their 15 partner venues.

Since 1996, Artemis has built a reputation for innovation and commitment to staff and guest wellbeing. The group’s 15-venue portfolio of owned, leased and operated qualifying properties with occupational health has now become the first collection of exclusive-use wedding venues in the UK to install life-saving anaphylaxis kits, with hopes that other wedding and event venues will follow suit.

British company Kitt Medical developed the kits containing a subscription supply of four adrenaline pens, known as adrenaline auto-injectors. The company’s mission is to make emergency allergy care accessible everywhere, becoming the defibrillator’s next-door neighbour.

Since its launch in January 2023, their Anaphylaxis Kitts are now installed in over 1,000 schools and qualifying businesses across the UK, from primary schools to iconic venues like The Royal Albert Hall and Alton Towers Resort.

Stuart Owens, CEO of Artemis expressed his desire for the group’s venues to be the first of many to install the Kitt:

“At Artemis, we’ve always believed that innovation should serve a greater purpose. Installing anaphylaxis kits across our portfolio demonstrates our ongoing commitment to safety and wellbeing. We hope this sets a new standard for the wedding industry and encourages other venues to take similar proactive steps.”

Mark Osborne, Group Health and Safety Manager at Artemis added:

“These kits provide our teams with the tools they need to respond immediately to severe allergic reactions, which can be life-threatening within minutes. We’ve trained staff across all 15 venues on proper usage, and while we hope we never need them, having this capability significantly enhances our emergency response capabilities.”

Zak Marks, Co-Founder of Kitt Medical, lives with a severe nut allergy. On the partnership with Artemis, he said:

“Artemis is exactly the type of organisation we want to see taking proactive measures when it comes to allergy care. It’s so exciting to be launching Kitts across such prestigious qualifying locations. We’re now one step closer to having Anaphylaxis Kitts as every defibrillator’s next-door neighbour, and to training everyone in the UK in allergy awareness and anaphylaxis preparedness.”

This initiative reinforces Artemis’s position as an industry leader committed to setting new standards in venue safety and operations.
